New Train-the-Trainer, Code-Check Launched at Convention
AHIMA launched two initiatives at this year’s convention, an expanded train-the-trainer program
and a revamped Code-Check service. The AHIMA-approved Trainer designation recognizes ad-vanced-level health information management professionals following training in areas such as
clinical documentation improvement, data analytics, and revenue cycle. The training is recommended to those looking to grow their professional and interpersonal skills, to develop opportunities to share their knowledge and expertise, or to start an in-house training program. For more information, visit www.ahima.org/education/traintrainer. A new Code-Check® platform is available
from AHIMA, designed to provide a faster process for the submission of coding-related questions.
Submitted questions on ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS are answered within one
business day and include cited documentation and rationale. For more information, visit www.
